Alchemy Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Alchemy is a personal assistant developed by Metamorphosis Labs. It works with your conversations, tasks, and accounts you choose to connect, including work that continues in the background.

Information Alchemy uses

Alchemy processes your messages, instructions, saved preferences, task results, and information needed to complete your requests. Browser tasks may process page content and screenshots. Websites you sign in to may store login sessions in the browser running on your device.

When you connect Google, Alchemy requests permission for the features you enable. Gmail features may read and search messages, use message metadata and attachments, create drafts, send messages, and change labels or move messages to Trash. Optional Calendar, Drive, and Docs features may read or change the events, files, and documents covered by your consent. Google shows the permissions before you grant them. Alchemy does not receive your Google password.

Purpose and sharing

Alchemy uses this information to carry out your instructions, provide answers, maintain task context, and perform the background work you have enabled. Relevant task content, which can include Google account data, may be sent to your configured AI service to generate answers and actions. The current model service is OpenCode, which routes requests to the underlying model provider. Those providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies.

Google account data is used only for the user-facing features you authorize. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Providers used to process Google account data must not use it for that training. Alchemy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Metamorphosis Labs does not routinely collect a copy of your local conversations or connected-account content. If you choose to share a support report, its contents are shared with us for that support request. We may disclose information we receive when required by law or necessary to investigate security abuse.

Storage and deletion

Alchemy stores working data, task history, and saved context on your device and its Linux virtual machine. Copies you export or back up remain wherever you put them. Local data may remain until you delete it; completing a task or disconnecting an account does not erase earlier task history.

You can revoke Google access through your Google Account connections. To remove Alchemy's Android data, clear its app storage or uninstall it. To remove data retained in the virtual machine, separately delete the Alchemy workspace, task history, and browser profile there, including any backups you made. These actions do not delete the original messages or files in your Google account. AI services handle any retained request data under their own policies.
